PanOceania TAG: Cutter

Instead of tanks in Infinity, they have TAGs: Tactical Armored Gear. PanOceania has the most advanced TAGs, and the most variety. The Cutter is an amphibious, naval chasseur, cloaked in Thermo-Optical Camouflage and wielding a MULTI-HMG (and Heavy Flamethrower).

Truth be told, I'm not super happy with it. I mean - I'm not going to throw it in the trash or give it away, but it's certainly not my favorite.

I began super-excited to get started on it... And then it was a chore to finish.  If I were to do it again (and I won't), I would either make a much brighter, shinier blue, like chromed blue metal - or make the blue more the color of the sea, with more green to it. As it is, I feel decidedly "meh" about it.

Blue
  • VMC 050 Dark Prussian Blue
  • VMC 051 Prussian Blue
  • VMC 058 Field Blue
  • VMC 155 Light Grey
  • White
  • Shade VMC 100 Black Green

MAS Crash Coffin

Playoff football.

For the Philadelphia Eagles, it started in week 17 in a win-or-go-home game against the Dallas Cowboys. Earlier in the day, I painted a green "Future Car" from Antenociti's Workshop to help with team mojo.

So the day the Eagles faced the Saints in Wildcard Weekend, I figured I had better do it again.

I painted up this Crash Coffin from Micro Art Studio, useful in Campaign: Paradiso, as an objective marker, or as cool scatter terrain.

Unfortunately, the Mojo didn't work this time.  But it was a great rookie season for new head coach Chip Kelly, and I am very optimistic for the Eagles going forward!

Warsenal Comms Arrays

I built and painted three of Warsenal's excellent Communications Arrays, featured in the new Dire Foes missions for Infinity.

They'll look great on my urban Infinity table, and are perfect for objectives.

I did a simple dark metal color scheme that was very quick to paint up - these three took about an hour and a half to paint in total, then glue the acrylic pieces on.

Over Black Primer, they were airbrushed VMC Black Grey, VMC Neutral Grey, VMC Light Grey and white.  Edge highlights were done mostly with VMC Light Grey. Some white paint and then Ghost Tints provided the background glow for the colored screens.

Eagles Green Car

The day the Philadelphia Eagles won the NFC East title, I painted one of the fabulous sic-fi cars made by Antenociti's Workshop.  Somewhat like voodoo, I painted it in the Eagles' Midnight Green color to help the team's juju.  And it worked!

I got five or six of their vehicles to help populate the streets of my urban Infinity table.  Darn fun to paint, and pretty quick, too - I finished this in about 2 1/2 hours.

You can afford that on a Fusilier's salary?!?

The Midnight Green was made mixing 2 parts P3 Gnarls Green with 3 parts VMC 050 Dark Prussian Blue.  The first highlight added a drop of VMC Dark Sand to the mix. The next 2 highlights I added pure white to the mix.

Windows were Black, P3 Coal Black, P3 Exile Blue, P3 Cygnar Base, P3 Cygnar Highlight, VMC Azure, and White.
